Today the adventure was winter hiking Hanging Lake.
It was gorgeous and a great hike!
I actually think it was easier in the winter.

Loved this! There is a bird's nest in the tree and a giant snowball "egg" in the nest!
Frozen Waterfall up close. I even climbed inside some of the ice. Very neat.
Sprouting Fall something or other - I forget it's exact name.
Cool twisted tree bark.
I spent most of the trip back down to the cars on my bottom.
The trail was very icy and steep and the options were mostly fall or slide your way to the bottom.
