Well the whirlwind wedding weekend is over and my "little sister" is married to my college neighbor/grad. school roommate's "little brother". The wedding was gorgeous with a beautiful bride and her handsome Asian cowboy groom. I love christian weddings where the bride and groom, their friends and family, all recognize and respect how important it is to keep God in the middle of a relationship, it makes for an extra special ceremony and reception when everyone prays for the couple and asks for blessings for them to the One with the power. Also, It was so nice to see old friends and my "other" family again after so many years and make new friends. My smile muscles still hurt from all the happiness of the weekend. Some things change and then again the best things never do change.
TSA was a little crazy both ways. On the way to Tennessee for the wedding they patted down my back because there was something suspicious on the screen in the middle of my back...I couldn't figure it out. Then today on the way back here they had to pat down the crown of my head, seriously, the crown/top of my head and my back again. I had on no hat, no hair ties or pins, just hair and head and they patted me down. Crazy.
Hopefully now things will settle down a bit, at least for the next week before Spring Break. In the last three weeks I have been in California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas. In the next two weeks I will be in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Illinois. If I keep it up I might have a new personal best record of states traveled to/through in a month.
Oh yes, and sorry no pictures because I forgot to take them. After all the traveling and time zones and switching to Daylight Saving's Time...I came back to the apartment after work today and went for a long walk, ate 3/4 of a pint of Belgian chocolate hazelnut gelatto (sp?), did laundry, and vegged. So nice.
And that is all.
