Last weekend a bunch of us went up to Lake Arrowhead to spend the weekend at the cabin that Melissa won (the weekend at) when we went to Pine Springs MD school retreat. Saturday afternoon was spent sledding, in snowball fights, and sleeping.
Vlatka and I were the best sledding buddies. We discovered a secret, dangerous hill - where none of the little kids were sledding. We had to remove a few obstacles and add some protective barriers (We moved a bicycle that was in the middle of the hill, a Christmas tree or two, and put a tire over a big rock that was next to a tree at the bottom of the hill). It was very tricky as you had to have just the right angle to make it past the tree and the rock, all the way down to the bottom. Because we discovered it - of course we mastered it, we were the best.

It was however, very difficult sometimes to get back up the hill. The second picture is in the aftermath of "and we all came tumbling down". Natasa, Sam and I were all at different stages of climbing up - one of us slipped, and the rest were history. Sledding when it's sunny, in the mountains, and about 50 degrees or so is such a hard way to spend your Sabbath afternoon.
