Today I tried to hike the Weehawken Trail (I think that's spelled right). I probably had only hiked about half a mile when the sky turned black and it started to rain :( so I had to turn around and go back. The trail is straight up the mountain, with tons of little switchbacks - but since I have no hiking poles if it got muddy I'd be sliding down the whole thing on my butt. It was sad. I'll have to try again later, only earlier in the morning before the afternoon rains. Plus, there were tons and tons of flies.
